talented colleagues!"
Franka Kraneis, Soprano
„I have participated in the Leipzig Oper Masterclasse 2023 with Jasmin Solfaghari and Helmut Kukuk and it has been a great experience. Short, but very efficiently used masterclasse time has allowed us to discuss the auditions, agencies and theatres reality, and the work on the interpretation and presentation of the arias has definitely given me lots to put into my own preparations in the future and become more conscious and confident about what to do and what not to do while auditioning - and why. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone that has already finished their studies and tries to find the way on the market, is just about to finish the school or simply would like to get some insight along the way."

and also a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to work on text, interpretation on their aria and roles, and beyond."

"Mrs. Solfaghari is a sort of coach and artistic influencer, who has a rare fine style and a strong
Intuition. She is aproaching the preparation of the artists through different technics and a sort of friendly mentorship that
leave you wide space of freedom and the sensation to try out new skills, although always with a good guiding supervision
and according to the individual talent and tempo of asimilation. Due to her magnificent spectre of experience she is developing
sessions as a special process and the performer feels like he is an own sure postament of self regie.
You feel an inspiring energy, sharp mind and knowledge you can relay in every moment of working
on your demanding prestatation."
"I feel very inspired after our coaching with Mrs. Jasmin Solfaghari! She is very knowledgeable,
focused on the singer, searches to release a singers's authenticity and the truth of the situation!"
Niovi Klavdianou, Berlin 2018
"Jasmin is a wonderful coach, both with german diction and dramatic intent. She easily communicates what she wants you to do in an encouraging, fun manner. I love working
with her! She brings out my best performance with ease."
Brennan Blankenship, Berlin 2018
"I cannot thank Jasmin enough for all of the amazing work we did this summer. I have had the good fortune to sing professionally for over 10 years now and working with her was a reminder of why I do this. I have always wanted to sing Tamino. But to sing the role in German, for a German audience as an American was intimidating to say the least. Jasmin was so supportive and encouraging of me while still pushing me to be perfect in the language and try new things dramatically. It was truly a privilege to work with her and I hope to have many more opportunities in the near future!"
"Jasmin was recommended to me by a successful conductor friend of mine. Working with Jasmin has brought a whole new understanding to the interpretation of my music. She's given me the tools to be a competitive and confident singer."
Mary Osborne, USA 2015
'I took coachings with Jasmin Solfaghari on several different occasions, both for audition preparation as well as the preparation and studying of a role. For me as a South-African, she not only helped me perfect my German, she also helped me get to know the character in depth, so when I went into rehearsals I felt fully prepared and as if I could handle anything the director asks of me.'
Karen Van Der Walt, South Africa 2015
"Working with Jasmin Solfaghari was one of my favorite experiences in my operatic education. I could rely on her honest appraisal of how I could best improve, with her experience at the highest levels of opera as the standard to which she guided me. I have widely recommend her as an insightful aid and will continue to do so."

"I had the pleasure to sing in masterclasses directed by Jasmin Solfagari. With total control over all aspects of the dramatic piece in front of her, full understanding of the text, complete knowledge of the music and sensitivity to the smallest details, Jasmin has built remarkable, original and very
accurate operatic-scenes. It is such fun and very inspiring to work with a director who has a great sense of humor, who is full of vitality and a clear vision, who is aware of every little detail has a great sense of drama and knows how to execute it. The result looks like she pulled it up her sleeve!"
Shira Bitan, Israel 2015
"Jasmin Solfaghari is a wonderful teacher and director. I have worked with her both in a masterclass and on
the Munich Biennale opera production of “L’Absence”. In both cases, I was very lucky to work with a
talented, articulate, creative women, who’s not afraid of taking risks and facing challenges.
Her knowledge in music and languages is remarkable, and I would highly recommend working
with Ms. Solfaghari - for musical, dramatical and personal growth." Nitzan Alon, Israel 2015
"…I just wanted to take another chance to say thank you for the fantastic masterclass today.
I enjoyed listening to what you had to say to everyone, and it was incredibly eye opening about the whole situation. Sharing your deep breadth of practical knowledge with budding singers and actors such as myself is a wonderful thing that goes a long way for myself and my collegues. It was also a lot of fun trying a role I am so familiar in different interesting ways! Again, thank you and I look forward to your class tomorrow"
Dimitri Smith, Student Pepperdine University 2013
"...Seldom have I seen (never in fact!) a smoother combination of so many abilities at work in a stage director. Your early background as a musician was apparent to me from the start. It underpins everything you strive for in reaching young singers of undergraduate age. The perfect complement
to your excellent musicianship is your inherent ease with languages. Having the students sit and
quietly speak the texts to you, whether in German, Italian, French or English, was key in unlocking the secrets of their communicative possibilities. And finally the wonderful spontaneous exercises you
used to free their physical inhibitions worked in every single case! Your manner is always friendly and engaging even when you are being tough on them. They loved it!
I do hope that you can work with our students again either in Heidelberg or here in Malibu. The
phrase is not always honestly applicable in other classes I have observed, but you are truly a master teacher. All the best to you "

"...I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the excellent work you did with selected students from the vocal department during your stay in our academy.
Your vast knowledge in opera repertoire, styles, languages, diction, etc. was very impressive, as was your unique way of understanding and interpreting human situations in the opera scenes you
directed during the workshop you gave. Your warmth, generosity patience and kindness towards the students were remarkable..."
Yours sincerely

"...In my over thirty-five years of professional singing and teaching in Europe, Asia and America, I can safely say that I have never seen an individual communicate, teach and direct singers so effectiveley as did Mrs. Solfaghari. Her knowledge and understanding of the repertoire is encyclopedic. Nuance and detail seldom discussed in the professional opera house informed and directed her work.
Her enthusiasm and passion was contagious and the singers (and audience) responded in like fashion with rapr attention. Her manner was gentle but insistent. The singers were given permission by my Mrs. Solfaghari to extend themselves and to think and act "outside the box". The results were nothing short of amazing. It was, in short, the finest Master Class I have ever witnessed in my teaching and performing career...."
